As a Batik artist and wearables designer for many years I have always been drawn to the wax ( beeswax), and the effects that can be achieved by painting with it on silk. Most recently I have been trying to capture some of those same effects on canvas and papers using acrylic and mediums. My paintings walk a line between abstraction and realism, sometimes also incorporating hot or cold wax and layers of paper.
