Legacy of Privilege
16 x20 pastel: My painting, “Legacy of Privilege,” reflects a historical contextualization of wet nursing during slavery that is so emblematic of how an exploitive act of power can impose “privilege” by one group of humans over another with enduring and compelling consequences for both. It’s relevance throughout history I leave for your interpretation and understanding of the concept “white privilege.”
