Five - Morning series
This series of paintings was made during a family visit to San Diego California. I spent time visiting in a hospital, and the view from there included highway 5. Morning radio often commented that 'all is clear on the Five' or 'holdup on the Five' during rush hour. The dramatic shapes and movement of this view inspired the painting. I imagined the cars carving out the space in this hill.
