Lone Tree

Arriving from elsewhere to the rural Midwest can feel like standing alone in a wide, open landscape. In Lone Tree, two cows gather beneath a single tree, finding shelter and companionship within the vast prairie. The image becomes a metaphor for belonging—reminding us that even those who come from the outside can find connection in small, shared places.
