Havasupai

2020, oil on canvas, 10" x 20"

The Havasupai, meaning people of the blue-green waters, are an American Indian tribe who have lived in the Grand Canyon for at least the past 800 years and are intimately connected to the water and the land. Spectacular waterfalls and the isolated Supai village are located within Havasu Canyon, a large tributary on the south side of the Colorado River, within the Havasupai Indian Reservation.
