Realistic glamour portrait of the iconic beauty and film star, Marilyn Monroe, as she appeared in her famous gold lame gown at the 1953 Photoplay Magazine STAR OF TOMORROW Awards gala. The painting was commissioned by the Franklin Mint for the covers of their special collectors edition of Joyce Carole Oates' novel, BLONDE. The painting is rendered in the Gouache medium on heavyweight illustration board. It is beautifully framed with archival materials under UV safe plexiglass with an engraved plaque and framed in a beautiful gold frame. It is the winner of multiple national art awards.
