Nature as Tapestry II #2102
Felt artwork as a hand felted wool art tile. I handspun alpaca yarn from fiber from my own animals. The alpaca weaving is on a stick loom made from birch twigs from a tree that blew down in a winter storm. I preserved the leaf I found before embroidering it in place. I added a swatch of felted wool, some seed pods and vintage buttons to complete the piece. It is presented in a 12" walnut wood frame.
