Landscape at Montourcy #1
This work in oil pastels and oil pigment sticks is of the landscape at Montourcy in the Auvergne of south-central France.
At two different times during the 1990s, I lived in the southern part of France and painted its landscapes. Since then, I return every few years to absorb the beauty of the land and become inspired to paint more.
I did this painting on 22-inch-highx 30-inch-wide acid-free age-resistant heavy oil painting paper.
The painting is signed and dated on the back (2000).
