Wolcum Yole
As things come full circle, our knowledge of lore is rediscovered, and many of us embrace the roots of our traditions. In honor of the German Yuletide celebration this piece is titled in old Germanic English. It also happens to be a title to a movement in Benjamin Britten's Ceremony of Carols, which contains my first soprano solo, performed at age sixteen.
