I was thrilled when my Peace & Tranquility painting won 'best of show' at the Wyoming 'Plein Air in the Parks' September, 2018. It was painted 'en plein air' in Sinks Canyon State Park in Lander, Wyoming.
Painting en plein air can be challenging and some times down right difficult painting outside with the elements of sun, wind ,bugs and watching for bear. But paintings that are created outside have a different feel from the heart, rather than painting from a photograph.
