I've been fascinated by quantum theory ever since I happened upon a book about it years ago. What's depicted in the painting is what I imagine subatomic particles might look like swirling about in an energy field. I'm sure this interpretation is totally fanciful, since I've never seen an actual subatomic particle in my life, but why let that stop me from conjuring up a few colorful "particles" as seen in my mind's eye!
