Tranquility Time

This still life is one of a series of value studies set up in the dark of my basement. I wanted to get back to basics for a while concentrating on drawing; line work and value only.
I believe this method keeps artistic skills sharpened as much in the same way as drawing the human figure from life.
This still life depicts the calm after the hectic holiday season is over. A time to sit with some warm tea around some beautiful decor and maybe a natural supplement to further help to calm.
