Poppies burst forth in the spring in marked contrast to the 400 year old orchard of olive trees. They bloom everywhere in Puglia, Italy. It was fun to be able to stop whenever desired on our bike trip to catch a beautiful scene. This did not yield a swift trip but a thoroughly enjoyable one.
