This Crescent mobile was carefully cut out of thin ash wood. Watercolor inks soaked deeply into the wood. To protect the colors it was sprayed with a urethane.
The thin wooden mobile is a delicate piece of art. It will naturally react to humidity by slightly bowing. The natural wood pieces have a protective coating on it.
This piece will give you joy, anywhere in your home or office; living room, bed room, office, staircase or entry. It should not be in a humid environment, open window (at least not on the east coast) nor hang close to a woodstove as you could with the copper pieces.
Dust can be removed with a brush. Cloth might get stuck in the fibers of the natural wood.
