Midway Hayfield
Painted during haying season, this landscape depicts rows of hay ready to be baled. Growing up on a farm, I have memories (mostly good!) of working hard to get the hay in the barn before the weather turned. Nowadays, hale is baled into large round bales, wrapped in plastic, and stored outdoors. I always loved the smell of the hay as it was drying in the fields.
