Sterling Silver Cross with Onyx and Carnelian Highlights

The cross was formed by hand on a sandbag. The arms were fitted and soldered to the body. The onyx and carnelian points were fitted and secured with adhesive from the underside. The back and the bail were riveted in place with 14K gold rivets. The cross measures approximately 25mm/1 inch tall, 57mm/2.25 inches wide and 78mm/3.0625 inches long including the bail. The necklace which is approximately 46cm/18 inches long overall (including the cross), consists of onyx and carnelian beads which culminates in a magnetic clasp that Ric designed. Four neodymium magnets hold the necklace securely. As with most of Ric's work, this piece is one-of-a-kind.
