Emerald Bay is considered the most photographed place on Earth. While the iconic view straight towards Lake Tahoe is breathtaking, it also requires a relatively dangerous walk along a curvy mountain road driven by people likely to be unfamiliar with mountain roads. I like this view best, with a gnarled bristlecone pine and some of Tahoe's massive granite boulders and foliage creating a safe place to take in the view without traffic rushing past too closely.
