Spirits in the Night
This paintings was begun by embedding silks fragments with cold wax onto the canvas. These additions add texture to the painting when layers of paint are applied. sometimes takes many layers of paint before the painting expresses itself. Now the hues and forms speak of the spirits of the night. It is an active painting which seems to shift with the lighting and angle.
