"We are the Streets"

“We Are the Streets” a work of art inspired by New Orleans’ Tricentennial created by Native New Orleanian visual artist Kenneth Scott, Jr. This work shows Scott’s confidence as a singular artist. His vibrant street scene imagines a doting group of second liners engulfed by a crowd of parade goers, making their way down the streets of Treme. Details such as a Spanish tile sign quoting the hook from “Casanova” (a second-line song favorite) adorns the damask patterned streets. The multiple values of blue compliment the peach colored attire of the second liners. This poster captures the true essence of this city’s great culture and history. This limited edition print is a must-have for art collectors and partial proceeds will go to the Roots of Music program.
