Fossil Dinosaur Bone and Australian Opal Pendant
This large piece of polished, Fossil Dinosaur Bone, from the Utah diggings, really exemplifies the intricate cellular structure of this prehistoric creature. Can you just imagine what it belonged to? The patterning is soft brown with darker outline and creamy white chalcedony fillings. The perfect compliment, I thought, would be this beautiful soft blue Australian Jelly Opal that shows nice green fire. The 8x10mm Opal was cut by Greg. The pendant is fabricated by me in Sterling Silver with Fine Silver bezels and hammer textured border around the opal and bail. It is oxidized in those places to accent.
The chain is a 20 inch fancy open link in Nite Black, coated Brass. So pretty with the Dino Bone.
