Consumer culture, industrialization, loss of self-identity- these are the primary themes I was playing with as this painting finally came together. It’s one of my favorites, especially because it is the result of trial and error, sustained focus on detail and sequence...layers upon layers added…and ultimately a rich, detailed composition.
