A cup of coffee together, and industrial decay…

This is a mixed media piece- acrylic and photo collage elements layered together, some coarse digital color manipulation. I created it around the same time that I painted ‘Consumed Identity’ (also displayed in this gallery).

I went for an especially gritty, rough look here- paint spatter, bits of factory structure and machinery cut out and layered. Also some partially obscured, brushed over areas of the composition- done using clear medium with just a little color added to reduce transparency.
