Halfdome Over the Merced

Yosemite is one of my favorite places, but I rarely make it into the valley, usually starting my hikes from Tioga Meadows to avoid the crowds. This image is from one of those days when I decided it was worth the extra drive, and the perfect weather and less-than-normal crowds made it worthwhile. The only other person in the photo I used for this painting was a dog, who I left out in order to protect their anonymity.
