Wind and Years

18 x 24 inches, acrylics on cradled wooden board
Part of the series " Textures".
Unlike most of my paintings, inspired by Arizona, this one is inspired by a visit we took a few years ago to Cannon Beach, Oregon. I was completely fascinated by the trees, withstanding the winds coming from the ocean. For me these trees symbolize strength, perseverance and adapting to circumstances in order to survive. Another thing I love is the sculptural beauty and simplicity of the silhouette.
