Poppy Pods
This piece was inspired by the spent poppies in my mother-in-law's garden.The features of a group of poppy seed pods fascinated me with their texture and distinct star-shaped tops. The blooms had transformed from bright color to various shades of green and brown. The curving stems of the poppy plants created a sense of movement to the composition.
