Railroading into the Mountain
An original oil painting on canvas inspired by my trip on the TranzAlpine Scenic Railway that goes from Greymouth through the Southern Alps to Christchurch in New Zealand. The journey takes one through river gorges, over high mountain plains, over rivers, and around lakes. The journey also includes the Otira Tunnel, a 5.3 mile tunnel opened in 1923. Frame is included and ready for hanging.
