Artist's Insights:
Q. I see you separated the figures slightly from the Lautrec original to make room for the back of the Lincoln's front seat. This made it clear the figures were in an automobile.
A. Luckily, the masculine figure was leaning forward as though he was giving advice or directions to the driver. In choosing the images, I was also aware of the large areas of blue and black accented by the bright orange color of the driver's hair and muted shade of the back-seat driver's hair, beard and cane.
