Patricia Raible Artmaker

Horizon

As an artmaker, I am always aware of horizons, particularly as they relate to landscapes—even abstract landscapes. Obviously, I am also aware of the other meanings of this particular word: outlook, perception, perspective. It has always been my goal to look at a subject or object or idea from a different viewpoint or perspective after research, writing, and thought. Sometimes it is simply abstracting an idea or view. But often it’s about totally changing my own way of looking at something when I realize, I just don’t have all the facts. It’s hard sometimes, but I hope I will always be open to looking at things differently.
