It's About Self-Love

The inner work never ends, right?

In all the years I unsuccessfully tried to lose body mass, I gained more weight.

I call this 30" x 30" acrylic painting: It's About Self-Love, because in the process of meditating, creating and contemplating it, I became keenly aware that when I was consistently involved in doing what I love, when I experienced the joy of creating and when I listened, truly listened to the voice of my heart, I was able to release old ancestral pain lodged in my body in the form of weight gain.

The painting helped me focus on what I value most about myself and pointed to finding ways to show to myself, the same love I freely show others.

I stopped seeking love in people and situations that are misaligned with my truth, with my authentic beingness and started celebrating who I have become, what I contribute to the world and on to whom and what is ready to receive the essence of the wisdom I carry and is embedded in the many forms my creative endeavors take.

Oh, I found so many examples of this! So many instances flooded my heart-mind that I could no longer ignore the intrinsic value I have to offer here on Earth!
